At PUSH, 93% of the work that we do with our members can only be done because we have volunteers. They are a truly desired and needed resource so that we can be successful in the work we do and aspire to the ethos we strive to follow. Inclusion in society is important and you can help.
Volunteering at PUSH can take on many different roles; you can work directly with our members where the age range is from 18 to 65+. We have a variety of groups covering different aspects of life skills. You can help out in the office with administrative tasks or fundraising. You can bring a skill, hobby or interest and begin a group if there is a shown interest amongst members. Ideas are always welcome!
From you, we desire a commitment, an interest in learning disabilities and working with people. In return we cover your expenses while volunteering and reimburse your travel. We have quarterly support meetings as well as individual supervision sessions. Lastly, where possible, we provide training on a variety of topics.
We value our volunteers, we value your time!
